OK... Honestly, Have you ever quit? Did you ever start something and a few
months later you quit your home-based business? We know we did several times
over the years...
But the Question is Why Do We Quit?
Even BOTH
of us sometimes find ourselves looking back and wondering... Why?
This
is a common problem in Network Marketing and there is a lot written on this very
subject. We both have been marketing for several years now and all the experts
agree... People are quitting before they ever get going.
We've seen
people quit when success was just around the corner. We've both even seen people
who were experiencing some success and still quit.
The question is
still... Why? What makes someone give up right when they are at the point of
success?
We Think... NO We KNOW it Comes Down to FEAR...
Most
people are afraid of the unknown, afraid of change, afraid of failure, afraid of
success... And we can hear you saying now... "I'm not afraid, I want to be
successful and make money". But listen to yourself someday... Listen to your
fear saying, "I want to be successful, but..." or "I like this business, but..."
or "I can do that, but..." or "If Only" then...
Success to Most is a
Relative Unknown...
We all want it, but in reality... We are scared to
death of it!
We have been thinking about individual friends of ours some
time ago whom we may have thought at the time would love our products (or
whatever we were selling) and probably would make a great person to be a
business partner with, but we both may have kept saying, "We'll approach them
tomorrow" and tomorrow never comes. Both of our mentor's and/or friends said to
us ...Gary and/or Viktoria, I want you to walk right up to you friend today and
muffle out these few words, hand them a sample and say ..."I'll call you
tomorrow to see how you liked my ..." Well, at the time we both thought or said
...no we can't do that...".
That was years ago, when we were a lot
younger and a lot "Greener" in our marketing and business experiences, skills
& talents. Today, when we meet new people or friends, we strike up a
conversation.
It's Fear... We all have it! We both still remember our
very first phone call. "Hello Mrs. Brown, our names are Gary and/or Viktoria and
we're just giving you a call today because you visited one of our websites today
..." (or whatever phone dependent business we were in) She replied ..."I wasn't
at no website today ...Who are you again?" Out of fear... We hung up the phone!
Looking back ...it's pretty funny, but then ...It was scary! We both stuck with
it though and with some practice, we both actually enjoy calling people and
meeting them.
Now back to fear... What are we afraid of? Maybe we are
afraid of freedom or maybe the ability to make our own decisions? That's what
Freedom is ...Are you afraid of making a lot of money? Are you afraid of
rejection? By the way, if you're in this business, you will hear a lot of
NO's... it's not "YOU", it's just reality.
The question is... How do we
overcome fear? What magic button is there to turn fear off? Then the next
questions are... If I don't know where my fear comes from or even recognize I
have a fear, how do I shut off the unknown?
The Answer is Simple...
TRUST - When you Believe ...You will "Get it" ...Then You Trust!
Facing Fear and Getting over fear is difficult ...We both know, we've
both been there! But when you "Get it" you will wonder ...Why on earth was I so
afraid of that, just like we both have when we were afraid years back of calling
people on the phone. BELIEVE - Believe in yourself, Believe in your products,
Believe in your business every minute of every day. Don't let anyone tell you
different! Getting over fear will truly empower you to create whatever you want
in life. You will look forward to every moment of every day with anticipation
and excitement! You will welcome the new you and start to become the person you
envisioned when you started your home-based business. You will understand what
freedom is and start realizing your dreams.
So now what? Where do we
start? Well, start by finding a friend or mentor that will help you overcome
fear. Find a book or video that will help you release your fears and teach you
how to believe and trust. Contact your sponsor and ask them what they do to
overcome fear or their sponsor, be proactive and go after the answers you need
until you get them. Go ahead and take action today ...Start your new journey
with new friends or maybe even some old friends. Welcome a new change in your
life and Get Ready for what's coming! You're in for a Life-Changing Event!!
