Doing MLM Right ...Residual Creation Designed for Long Term!

In creating this article, Viktoria and I gave a lot of thought why people fail. And the reasons seem to vary almost as much as personalities. So today we will focus on the more common reasons out there. The very first one is a big one!

Problem Number 1:

The difference between sponsor and a recruiter. One simply places people in their business and that's the only mentoring they do.  I call this Funnel Marketing, dropping more in the top than fall out the bottom. While this is somewhat effective for the great recruiters, it is a recipe for failure for the new or average marketer!

Lets look at the WHY's.  First, this is the primary cause for the 90-120 day cycle prevalent in todays so called business world.

"If I don't make money in 3 months, I am out of here"!

Most people would have built a business than would have had an effect on their standard of living, if only they stayed and put in a serious effort instead of looking for that next "holy grail".  Ironically that may have been the opportunity they just quit!

The real truth is Funnel Marketing is neither effective or a wise choice in building your business!  It never creates a stable Residual Income ...you can never quit recruiting or it completely unravels!

A More Positive Method That Actually Works:

Very early on Viktoria and I learned if we helped a new member achieve "break even" point, in another words their product or service was no longer out of pocket ...they became a customer for Life!  That is creating true residual income designed to last!

This is what YOU want to copy and teach. Will everyone do this?  No!  We work with those who want it and are willing to learn and share willingly with anyone. Create customers for life and you create residual income simple as that.

Problem Number 2:

New people become so desparate they try and put anyone in their business!  How does this help their business or yours in the long run?  Do you want an organization filled with tire kickers? How do we change this?

The thing we take time with each new prospect is an attitude test so to speak, we tell the McDonalds story before we sign them aboard, we ask a series of questions,

"Do you know what a McDonalds franchise now costs in your area?"

"Do you realize that price doesn't include the land or building costs?"

"Do you also know you have to graduate from hamburger college before you can flip that first burger?"

And heres my point I have never heard one single franchise owner ever say ...

"Gary I have been at this for four months now and I am just not making what I expected to be making by now. I think I will sell this one and buy that Burger joint down the street ...they look like there are doing more business than I am"!

That's a story I don't believe you will ever hear, you see they made a commitment so their business and that's what I am asking you to make today.  Be serious, give it a full year and then give yourself a Report Card and see your progress!

Problem Number 3:

Hype, lies and myths!

Present your opportunity with integrity truth and what benefit it has for them, not for you. Share what it has done for you, but focus on your prospect(s) ...not on yourself. They have to envision themselves doing the business. You have to give a prospect a reason to do your business!  You may very well have a superior product or service BUT ...most everyone makes that claim. To be a product of the product you need your story. Stories sell facts only tell ...NO hype needed!

We never claim or tell income stories, we share our compensation plan and how they can maximize their income potential.  Viktoria and I recently become involved with a company that is in a Pre-Launch stage and in Under 90 days become a "Sapphire Master Directors" and the very FIRST in the company!

We signed no so called "super stars". We consider all our members "super stars" in training ...but all just average people with great attitudes and wanting to learn their business. The greatest reward is seeing them grow and mature and seeing their lives improve!  The real reward is watching them walk up on stage at an event that's our report card ...that's our reward!

Change your Mindset change your income!  Be that mentor not a recruiter and watch your residual grow into what you dreamed about! Set your goals, concentrate on your follow up. More new members come from Follow Up than any other method out there.  If your Follow Up is weak, your closing rate will be in direct proportion to it.
Work on those areas you need to improve, become the expert!

Be determined that failure is not an option. Be diligent, persistent and consistent!
